Appointment Scheduler

We designed the DOM Appointment Scheduler to be flexible, and to work the way your office functions.

We know that managing patient appointments is central to economic activity in the dental office. Every filled time slot means more revenue to the practice. But the appointment block on the grid can be much more than a set of colored time slots; in DOM, it is a gateway to information about the treatment planned for the patient.

Key features:

Chair scheduling or Provider scheduling

For those offices that want fine control over which chair or room the patient will be seen in, and when providers typically work with more than one patient at time, “Chair” scheduling meets their needs. For office where providers most often work out of one chair or room, and may occasionally see a second patient as a “side book” or for a quick check, we offer “Provider” scheduling.

Electronic patient messaging

No-shows, be gone! Sending appointment confirmations and recall reminders by email, text message or automated telephone call is now widely accepted and dramatically decreases no-shows. Capture the patient’s response automatically and deliver it to the Appointment Scheduler with our Lighthouse 360 integration. DOM and Lighthouse 360 offer complete, customized two-way communication, automatically updating the confirmation status of patients as they confirm appointments via email response, text message reply, or automated phone call action. The Lighthouse 360 service also allows communications to all patients scheduled for a particular day, such as in the event that the office is closed during a snowstorm. Learn more

Auto-scaling of scheduler display

Larger monitors and higher display resolution allow more columns to be viewed at one time — with the potential to see an entire week for multiple providers on a single screen. If the selections won’t fit on the screen, scroll bars are provided to move up/down and left/right. In any case, key appointment information is always indicated, and color coding of both appointments and hour classifications allow a quick glance to see what is going on at any time.

Move or change appointments easily

Simple cut and paste, or drag and drop, allow appointments to be moved to different times, days, or even different weeks. If an appointment needs to have less or more time than originally scheduled, simple editing completes the change without having to cancel or re-make the appointment.

Pending Reschedule window

Don’t lose those patients that cancel without re-appointing — our dental scheduling program provides a continuing reminder of those patients that cancelled scheduled work without re-appointing. No need to re-enter the original appointment details — everything, including the appointment code, duration, and comments, is saved.

Link lab cases to the appointment

By linking the lab case to the appointment, and using the built-in Lab Tracking system, you will know at a glance if that important case is back in the office prior to the appointment date. Learn more

Scheduler and recall functions integrated

The dental appointment scheduling program is designed to function with the recall system, so no matter how you are handling patient recall reminders and appointment notification, it will be clear if the patient has made a recall appointment, or needs a reminder.

Where’s the patient?

The DOM Appointment Tracker displays the status of patients as they move through the office from reception, to the operatory, and through “checked out”. Ideal for larger offices, it lets all staff know when patients have arrived, how long they have been waiting, and if there are any no-shows. A patient ID photo may be seen next to patient’s status. Optional audio cues alert staff to changes. Learn more

Multi-location ready

The DOM Dental Scheduler is designed for use in multiple location offices as well as single-location – perfect if your practice already has multiple locations, or if you might expand in the future. When used in multiple locations, each user is given authorization as to which locations or groups of locations they can access data for. The ability for a user to view more than one location on the screen at the same time is great for determining when a patient can see a provider that might work in more than one office.
